At an elevation of 1200 meters bordering the microclimate of the Ugandan rainforest, Kibale Coffee Orchards is conveniently situated within fertile soils, high elevation and the wet, warm growing conditions of the tropics. Uganda is one of the few countries where wild robusta still grows naturally in forests, especially Kibale and Zoka Forests. This makes Uganda globally significant for Robusta genetic diversity and conservation. Our proximity to native wild coffee forests offers a healthy and consistent growing environment for our beans year after year. Another unique quality to growing coffee next to the rainforest is the cross pollination of the many varieties of tropical plant species.
