At an elevation of 1200 meters bordering the microclimate of the Ugandan rainforest, Kibale Coffee Orchards is conveniently situated within fertile soils, high elevation and the wet, warm growing conditions of the tropics. The traditional Robusta coffee tree is an endemic species not only to Uganda but also to the neighbouring Kibale Forest itself, offering a healthy and consistent growing environment for our beans year after year. Another unique quality to growing coffee in such proximity to the rainforest is the cross pollination of the many varieties of tropical plant species.
